Revision

This term, we learned a lot Business and Management. It is the beginning of the specific, and from this lessons, I learned a lot new knowledge.
Firstly, we studied what is organisation. I knew the organisation structure. There are two kinds of structures in here, tall structure and flat structure. In the tall structure, people could do their job better, because they know what should they do, but it is not easy to manage them. In the flat structure, manager could manage staffs easy, but staffs are messy, maybe they can not finish the work very well. And there are decentralised structure and centralised structure, such as Google, Google use decentalised structure, on other hands, all most banks use centralised structure.

Then, we knew how to use the SWOT analysis. SWOT analysis Combination of organisation’s strengthsWeaknessOpportunity and Threats, and people could know the internal environment and external environment. Then the company could make the plan. For example, Wal-Mart Stores. There are some strengths, it is well known, most people know many goods are sold in there, people could buy many things in here. And it is a global organisation, they have more opportunities. Staffs also loyalty to the organisation. In the weakness, they can not manage all of the stores very well, and they sell many things, they can not concentrate on one side. It is a global organisation, but at present, they just have lot of stores in some countries. Then we can see the opportunities, Wal-Mart could build more stores in China and India, they could get more marketing in those counties, and they have more experience in managing big stores. In the last element, threats, many oganisations want to compete with them, and sometimes Wal-Mart in trouble in other countries. Another analysis is PESTEL analysis. PoliticalEconomic, Socialtechnological, Environmental and Legal. When we use it, we could know the external environment of the organisation very clear.

I think the most important element is globalisation. At 21st century, we get informations so easy and quick, and there are many international trades happen every day. We use the import productions in our daily life, people work for foreigner company, and local organisations make the productions, sell productions to other countries companies, and they sale it to local people, this is import. Doing international trade, organisations could get more benefit, and some organisations get more advanced technologies, use it in their organisation, improve themselves. We can not stop this, because many organisations get benefit by this way. There are some advantage, at first, foreigner investment is helpful, and it could deal with the ;abour force movement. And sometimes it could change the local marketing. However, there are some disadvantage, for example, international organisation get more benefit, so poor get poorer, rich get richer.
Finally, from this lessons, we could know many things about the international organisations and management. It is helpful for us, we learned it from a foreigner way, we could know it better.

Globalisation

What is globalisation? it increases integration of internationally dispersed economic activities. 
Globalisation concerns include trade in good and service, investment, labour force movement, products, production, technology, research and development, exchange of ideas and knowledge, intellectual property.
In nowadays, we could get information very quick, and we could communicate with other people whatever where he comes from, so the same as trade, so many people often do the international trade very easy. For example, two companies communicate with each other in the internet or use the phone, they could do the trade in the internet. Actually, most companies do the international trade by this way. Such as Apple, the products were made in China, and the owner in American, they are sale in most countries.
And the global organisations is not only for exporting and importing, but also for other more things about international organisation do the trade. Such as investment, some companies use money buy the factories in other countries, and local people work for them, they use less money do the same thing, could get more benefit.
And some companies, like Dell. The element of products from many countries, CPU was made in China, memory was made in German, and other made in American, Japan and Korea. This is a global company, they can not have the perfect products without globalisation.
More and more products were made in China, most people know this. China has many people, and the international organisations build the factories in China, and they offer the work to Chinese to deal with labour force movement.
In 21st century, we could get information so easy, by this way, many companies could exchange ideas and knowledge, to improve their oganisations, they also could know more ways to manage their companies, and get more technology to improve their production.
However, globalisation has some negative, come companies do some trades in other countries, local people have not enough opportunity work for the company, and the organisation use developing countries due to cheap labour, making organisations richer. It makes poor get poorer, rich get richer.







International Business

At present, there are many international business in our world, so international trade is a normal thing. However, international trade is not new, long times ago, there was some international trades.
In 21st century, the international trade include goods, technology, information, labour, capital. And there are some famous international organisation did it very well, such as Mcdonald, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Coke, Apple.
The Mcdonald and Kentucky Fried Chicken have different management in every countries, they could adapt to local marketing very well. It is called Polycentrism, for example, the Mcdonalds and Kentucky Fried Chickens food is different between China and UK. Maybe in UK, it is more traditional, but in China, it has more Chinese element. This is not bad thing for their companies, because they could get more marketing, and local people could accept those more easier.
And the Coke is also a successful company, all most people know it, and we could see it and drink it in most places.This is international trade, the international organisation invest factory in other countries, it is called capital output, the organisation has technology, and they could get cheaper labour.
As can be seen, the Apple company, they design it in American, but productions are made in China, and they sell it in all over the world.  More and more trades are happened in the internet, include international trade. So export and import are normal things in our life, and we always use the import production in our daily life. Some organisation do international trade, because they could get more benefit, and from the international trade, they could learn from other countries companies, get some useful information to manage their company. International trade is not only do more trades to other people, but also could improve their management.

Oganisation Strategy

The Pestle analysis ( macro )
There are 6 main element in Pestle analysis, include Political, Economic, Social-culture, Technological, Environment and Legal.

There are some element about Political, they are taxation policy, privatization/deregulation policies, environmental legislation, health and safety regulations, public expenditure controls, European Union directives and government stability. The Economic is about interest and inflation tates, consumer confidence, the business cycle, Economic growth prospects, unemployment rates, disposable incomes, Labour costs. And demographics ( population and household numbers ), values in society, changing lifestyles ( e.g. changing attitudes to work and leisure ), changing consumer preferences ( e.g. Attitudes to agree issues ) and levels of education could influence sociol-culture. At technological, alternative means of providing services, scientific discoveries, changing communications technology, new production technology and state of infrastructure are very important. In the environment, climate change, water resources and energy supplies could influence it. Finally, the legal, there are three parts about it, include employment law, company law and business regulation.

In the part of Political, the organisaition must pay attention to the business law, they should get the interest legal. And in the second part, they need know that how about the marketing, and they could make plan to develope the company. And the company should know local custom, let local people enjoy adapt their services, and they could have local marketing. The organisation should not only use the new technologies from the world, but also discover new technology by themself, it is important for a organisation, they need have their own technologies, and get more marketing. Then the environment is about organisation and surrounding, the most important is that organisation should do sustainable development.

Many organisations use Pestle analysis to analyze the macro environment, and most of the analysis is about external, it is useful in nowadays.








Organisation Contest

There are three layers in the organisation contest,include internal,competitive and external. 

Porter(1980a,1985) proposed five forces analysis in organisation contest, they are bargaining power of suppliers, bargaining power of buyers, treat of new entrants, treat of substitutes and industry competitors. Five forces analysis is relevant to the profitability of an organisation.

Firstly, the bargaining power of supplies depend on what are they provided for the company. If the supplier provided a larger proportion of the total cost of the raw material or on the production process is very important to buyers, the supplies could have big bargaining power of supplier. And the company just could buy it and raise prises. At second, the bargaining power of buyers, it is depend on buyer compare the products. sometimes, if a few people need a that, and the buyer will buy mots of products from one company, the buyer have big bargaining power. Then, treat of new entrants, the leader will consider how much benefit they could get, how much cost will they pay and the risk. Treat of substitutes, it means that two different products have the same function, they could do the same work.

SWOT ( strengths Weakness Opportunity Threats )
We could think about it in two parts. First one is SW ( strengths weakness ), this is internal, people could analyze internal conditions. Secondly, it is OT ( Opportunity Threats ), people could analyze external conditions. When a company make a plan about develope strategies and competitor analysis case, they always use SWOT analysis., it is clearly to see what about the plan. And when you use it, you should be objective to face the strengths and weakness, how about your company at present and in the future.It is different between everyone to use it.

Organisation Culture

Organisation cluture 
It means the sum of material and spiritual civilization construction and development in the company.It include explicit culture and implicit culture.And there are five key elements,enterprise environment, values, heroes,cultural ceremonies and cultural Network.
The first one,enterprise environment.There are some information about this,what the company's industry is, how about this company's social image.
It always determines the behavior of enterprises.
Values is the most important in organisation clucture.It means company members consensus on one thing,it is not noly about the buiness thing,but also about the daily thing.The same values let people do the almost same decision who comes from the same company.
Hero is the central figure in the corporate culture,it is a living modle,and other people could follow him. It is important for company's develop.
There are kinds of recognition, incentives, meetings and cultural activities in company,it could let people know what happen in the company,and it also publicity and reflect the company's values.Peole could have fun in the activities,and they also could learn a lots from the organisation cluture.
Culture is an informal network of information transmission channels, it could send some massage.It is composed of organizations and informal groups, it conveys information and reflects the desire and attitude of workers.
Finally,the organisation culture helps the company to make big progress,allowing it to develop quickly.

Organisation Structure

In the passed week, we learned the Organisation Structure.At first we looked at a building structure, it is a specially building, and from this, I knew that a good organisation based on the good structure. It is a way of setting up your business.
 I also learned a lot from the Oticon company.A long time ago ,the worker just had a single skill, but now ,most people could do more thing, they have more specially skills, just like the tasks‘The better your processes are defined, the more flexible you can be’. And the company has clear mission that worker could know, so all the information could let them know, workers could work hard for their mission.
Centranisation and Decentranisation.The centranisation is good for a big company to manage,subsidiaries could follow the center decision, but it not good for local marketing,because the centranisation make the decision for all the maketing,they can not pay more attention to one place.In fact,decentranisation is good for local marketing, local manager know that what local people need, and they could have a good marketing in everywhere, but this structure will waste much resourse. How to use centranisation and decentralisation is a big problem for every company.
Span of control & Chain of command.For easy managing the strucure,subordinate could noly  be directly responsible to a supervisor.It is a impaortant thing,if not do this,something wrong will happen.For example, two manager make different decision for one thing and ask subordinate to do.
Finally,in my opinion,the organisation structure is impotant,the same as buliding structure for the building.A good organisation should have a good structure,and they could manage the company more easier.

Introduction to Business and Management


What is the team
In the passed week,we learned how to team work and what is the team.We learned it by using paper building  tower. It is really funny, and we learned from it .I knowed what is the team ,that means we need work for one group for a target.Everyone wanted to win this game ,so we need communicate with other people ,study from each other,show your own ideas ,make a plan.And everyone has their own work in the group ,maybe the same thing ,maybe different.But all of the work is good for the team ,everyone hope their group could be better and better.
In my opinion,I think team need some important things,for example, target, plan, people and manage.At first ,if you in the group,it is important you should know what is your objective ,why do you work for the team. If you do not know that ,you could not do anything.Secondly, a good plan decide success or not ,so it is depend on a good manager,and good manager could lead a regular team.Worker also is a important link,they need coordinate each other ,it is not easy to do .
And we can know from the last football video,you need know the other people who are the same team with you ,what about they want , what will they do .It need they to get that in their daily life and training,however,it is a little hard , not everybody could do .If some people do that ,the team will make a big progress .So I think the team means working for one purpose with other people who are you need coordinate  with.
